Women In Architecture (WIA) is proud to present our Annual Scholarship Fundraiser featuring Marilyn Jordan Taylor. Marilyn is a distinguished thought leader in urban design and female pioneer in the fields of architecture, planning, and construction. As a highly regarded practitioner and educator with a primary focus in large‐scale urban projects and civic initiatives, Marilyn possesses a passion for shaping and enhancing community vitality through design and planning. Since 2008, Marilyn has served as the Dean of Penn’s School of Design where she has helped to evolve the School’s integrated planning and design process in various aspects of urban design. Prior to her appointment as Dean of PennDesign, Marilyn spent over 35 years at the renowned design firm, Skidmore Ownings & Merrill where she rose to become the Partner in Charge of the Urban Design and Planning practice and first woman to serve as the Chairman of SOM.

Come join us for an evening to celebrate Marilyn Jordan Taylor’s contribution to the profession and our community. The proceeds of this event will support a Charter High School for Architecture & Design (CHAD) female graduating senior’s pursuit of a design degree.

About the Scholarship
Help support the education of a local, future designer! The proceeds from this event will go towards a scholarship awarded to a deserving graduating senior female student at The Charter High School for Architecture + Design (CHAD) who will be pursuing a college degree in the field of architecture and design. The scholarship will provide funds towards tuition, books, and/or supplies. The presentation of this award will be made at an upcoming WIA event.
