On April 6, the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Philadelphia and American Institute of Architects (AIA) Philadelphia chapter will host a lunch and learn to inform Philadelphia’s development and design industry about energy efficiency best practices and the incentives and technical support available through PECO Smart Ideas. Join us at the Center/Architecture+Design to learn whether your upcoming projects are eligible for financial incentives.
Through PECO Smart Ideas, builders of residential, multifamily and commercial properties can qualify for financial incentives for implementing a wide range of energy-saving construction practices and equipment upgrades.
The PECO Smart Ideas team will discuss incentives by building type. PECO offers incentives for the construction of ENERGY STAR certified homes and high-performance (above code) multifamily and commercial buildings. Additional incentives are available for builders of multifamily and commercial properties who install high-efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment as well as exterior and interior lighting upgrades. Energy efficiency improvements can increase property value, improve occupant retention, reduce callbacks, and lower maintenance costs.
Light lunch will be provided for members of BIA of Philadelphia and AIA-Philadelphia chapter. AIA members will be eligible to receive 1.5 CEUs.
